Liz John-West holds a Master’s degree in Community Development and brings over 30 years of experience in the social services sector. She began her career working with people experiencing homelessness, then moved into domestic violence work, overseeing high-risk youth housing programs, and working with families involved with Children’s Services. As Executive Director, she works alongside a dedicated team and community partners to support individuals impacted by sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Throughout her career, Liz has worked closely with vulnerable individuals navigating intergenerational trauma, systemic racism, poverty, gender-based violence, and addiction. She believes meaningful change begins by staying close to the people most affected—listening, walking alongside them, and challenging the systems that perpetuate harm.

Chandrea earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has dedicated her career to supporting marginalized individuals impacted by exploitation, addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, and poverty. She brings over 25 years of direct experience working with individuals affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking. Chandrea currently serves as the Program Manager at CEASE.

She is deeply committed to the meaningful work of addressing sexual exploitation and trafficking and finds purpose in supporting those who need care, safety, and hope. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to serve and support individuals over the years.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Human Relations, Rania brings a strong foundational understanding of systemic social issues, group dynamics, and interpersonal intervention strategies. Rania is a Community Outreach Worker at CEASE: Centre to Empower All Survivors of Exploitation & Trafficking in Edmonton, Working alongside with survivors.
 
Rania has over 17 years of experience in the human services sector. Her professional background includes extensive, hands-on experience supporting vulnerable populations across critical community sectors. She worked directly with survivors of domestic violence, vulnerable children, and high-risk youth, guiding them through systemic barriers, and provided vital advocacy and crisis intervention. Additionally, her work in partnership with Child and Family Services has equipped her with a deep familiarity with statutory guidelines, trauma informed care, and trauma informed practices. Combining Academic rigor with compassionate, frontline practice had deepened her unwavering belief in the capacity for positive change, even in the face of immerse adversity.

Alison Mettam earned a diploma in social work from MacEwan University and has been in the field of social work for nearly a decade. She started her career working with vulnerable inner-city populations before shifting to her role at CEASE as a community outreach worker, bursary program, micro-loan program, and volunteer tax program.
 
In her scope of practice, Alison has worked alongside individuals facing houselessness, addiction, poverty, violence, systemic racism, and system navigation.
 
Alison strongly believes in the power of community, connection, and advocating for marginalized or oppressed individuals. These values are what drew and guide her work at CEASE.

Faith holds diplomas in Community and Social Work and Addictions and Community Services, as well as a Bachelor of Laws. Her background in housing has strengthened her understanding of the challenges many individuals face when seeking stability and support.
 
Faith brings this knowledge and experience to her role at CEASE as an outreach worker. Whether accompanying participants to appointments, meeting one-on-one with community members, or connecting individuals with appropriate community resources, Faith approaches every interaction with empathy, patience, and a solution-focused mindset.
 
She is passionate about creating connections, reducing barriers, and helping individuals move forward with confidence and dignity.

Taylor Sloan holds a Batchelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and History. Taylor is currently working on a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Community and Educational Studies. As one of CEASE's Outreach Workers, Taylor specializes in employment support for participants in the Transform U program, as well as supporting victims and survivors of sexual exploitation through planning, systems navigation and problem solving.
 
Taylor is passionate about building supportive relationships and knows that while individuals may interact with many different professionals as they navigate systems and life, the expert on a person's goals and needs is always the person who themselves has lived through their experiences. Taylor seeks to work from a place of collaboration and empowerment when walking alongside participants.

Angelica is a dedicated public education and engagement specialist at CEASE, bringing a strong blend of technical expertise and community-centered communication. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the Philippines, along with a Certificate in Graphics Communication and a Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering from Canada.

Angelica combines her background in design, data, and systems with a passion for empowering communities, helping CEASE raise awareness, and support initiatives that prevent exploitation and promote safety for youth and vulnerable populations.

Michelle Reinink is an Intelligence and Data Analyst at CEASE: Centre to Empower All Survivors of Exploitation & Trafficking in Edmonton. She has a Master's of Science in Psychology, and is currently completing her PhD. Michelle brings several years of research and data analysis experience in Cognitive Psychology, studying eyewitness identification and memory.
 
Michelle also has several years of experience working as a Crisis Intervention Worker at a domestic violence shelter where she assisted women and children fleeing abusive situations, experiencing poverty, and addictions. Michelle is passionate about CEASE's drive to use data and research to support effective frontline operations within the social services sector.

With a diverse educational foundation spanning Hospitality Management and IT Professional Certification (MCP), Deanna brings a unique blend of operational insight and strategic problem-solving. Her career is rooted in 18 years of telecommunications experience, where she managed complex programs and large-scale projects, turning intricate challenges into streamlined, collaborative results.
 
Deanna considers it a privilege to support the Edmonton community and the clients of CEASE. She is deeply committed to driving awareness around human trafficking, and she is excited to help the team evaluate and develop programs that empower and support victims and survivors.
