Liz John-West holds a Master’s degree in Community Development and brings over 30 years of experience in the social services sector. She is the Executive Director of CEASE: Centre to Empower All Survivors of Exploitation & Trafficking in Edmonton, where she works alongside a dedicated team and community partners to support women impacted by sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Throughout her career, Liz has worked closely with women navigating intergenerational trauma, systemic racism, poverty, gender-based violence, and addiction. She believes meaningful change begins by staying close to the people most affected—listening, walking alongside, and challenging the systems that perpetuate harm.

Chandrea earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has dedicated her career to supporting marginalized individuals impacted by exploitation, addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, and poverty. She brings over 25 years of direct experience working with individuals affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking. Chandrea currently serves as the Program Manager at CEASE.

She is deeply committed to the meaningful work of addressing sexual exploitation and trafficking and finds purpose in supporting those who need care, safety, and hope. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to serve and support individuals over the years.

She believes that individuals and communities can especially thrive when supported through trauma-informed care and using a strength-based model.

Over the years, Awok has successfully collaborated with multi-disciplinary professionals and stakeholders to provide client-centered services.

Angelica is a dedicated public education and engagement specialist at CEASE, bringing a strong blend of technical expertise and community-centered communication. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the Philippines, along with a Certificate in Graphics Communication and a Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering from Canada.

Angelica combines her background in design, data, and systems with a passion for empowering communities, helping CEASE raise awareness, and support initiatives that prevent exploitation and promote safety for youth and vulnerable populations.
