Money for School and Training

Special thanks to the individual donors, philanthropists and to the Edmonton Community Foundation for their contributions to bursaries through:

  • The Eldon and Anne Foote Fund
  • The Cable Family Fund
  • The Cable Family Fund
  • The Awinita Fund

The goal of the CEASE Bursary program is to help you take steps towards a career that offers opportunities to achieve a sustainable income.

As a charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors, CEASE receives grants and donations from Charitable Foundations, Philanthropists and individual donors.  We are able to support bursaries for those attending public universities, colleges and technology institutes (e.g. NAIT), also governed by Boards of Directors.  We will consider programs that are approved under the Alberta Health Professions Act regulatory bodies organized by profession (e.g. College of Paramedics, College of Alberta Social Workers, College of EMT, etc.)

You may also apply for short-term workshops not funded by the Alberta Government that provide certificates to help you obtain a job: e.g. First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and similar courses required by employers.

What’s your dream?  First step – check this website: ALIS – Alberta Careers, Learning https://alis.alberta.ca/

We can help you get there through education and training bursaries. Here are some courses previous students have successfully finished:

  • Strategic management
  • Health Care, from PCA to LPN to RN
  • Corrections
  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Engineering
  • High school or university upgrading
